RESERVE PINOT BLANC

NEW VINTAGE, NEW PACKAGE. We have made a leap to offer this wine with a screwcap enclosure, and in a nod to tradition, a tall riesling style hock bottle. The screwcap keeps the wine as fresh as possible, while eliminating the possibility of cork taint. Inside the bottle, the 2009 vintage retains our traditional vinification: fermented in stainless steel tanks to display true varietal character featuring flavors or white peach buttressed by tangarine-lemon citrus, and hints of honey on the finish. This mouth-watering wine is a perfect match for sushi, oysters, and other fresh local seafood. Breaking news: this wine just awarded Double Gold Medal at the 2011 NY Food & Wine Classic.

Using the French Methode Champenoise, our sparkling wine is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes and ages 3 years before being disgorged in small lots to guarantee a crisp, fresh wine. A repeat winner at the prestigious LA International Wine Competition, and named as a top American Sparkling Wine by Wine Spectator, our Blanc de Blancs is perhaps one of our greatest achievements. This brut sparkler boasts a nose redolent of green apple and pear, accented by hints of citrus, honey, and yeast. This Chardonnay opens with subtle aromas of pear and baked apple that develop into lush, nutty lees characters. The palate is rich and creamy with mouth filling marzipan and almond notes. Undertones of tropical fruit and vanilla linger creating a velvety impression with a long, round finish.

NEW RELEASE. 2005 was a defining vintage on the North Fork, with record rainfalls ending the hope for a perfect vintage and making all growers accutely aware of the realities of climate change. We hand-picked all the grapes at the onset of the storm, skirting disaster. The result is our biggest Merlot since 2000, with deep ruby color, and big tannins that will age well. The nose exhibits cedar, smoke with ripe plum and cassis. The palate is rich with plum, black cherry and hints of licorice and bacon. A rich and complex mouthfeel that should soften further with age. While delicious to drink now, this one is built to last.

Our most exclusive wine is a blend of 70% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Malbec, 5% Syrah, and 3% Cabernet Franc. Only made from the best harvests, using ultra low-yield farming techniques (one grape cluster per shoot), this wine is designed for maximum age potential. Floral notes of lavender and violet permeate the nose leading to a deeper bouquet of raspberry, plum and subtle hints of mocha. The palate is deep, layered, and delicious with undertones of white pepper and eucalyptus. This is a big wine, displaying a concentration of lush fruit, hints of earth, and a smooth, complex finish.
